Why Lake Forest Owners Drive Up The 241

Three facility problems that most south Orange County body shops cannot solve, regardless of skill.

The vehicle has to fit

A forty foot Class A needs a bay tall enough to open the roof and long enough to work both caps. Most general body shops physically cannot take the vehicle through the door, which is why the estimate conversation ends at the driveway.

The booth has to be long enough

Shooting a coach in sections leaves banding you will see in raking afternoon light for the rest of the vehicle's life. A booth that takes the whole body in one pass is the difference between a repair that disappears and one you notice every time you walk past it.

Laminate is not sheet metal

A bonded sandwich sidewall fails at the adhesive line, not the surface. Reading how far a bond has let go, and knowing when a panel can be re-bonded rather than sectioned, is specific experience that car work does not build.

Getting It Here From Lake Forest

Most Lake Forest customers run the 241 north to the 91, or the 5 to the 55 and across.

Lake Forest sits south of the shop, and the drive is the straightforward part. What matters more is that the vehicle only makes the trip once. An evaluation that ends in a written plan, a parts order and a scheduled intake date is worth more than a quick look that sends you home to wait for a call.

If the vehicle is not drivable, that is normal for collision work. A large share of what arrives here comes in on a transport truck. Arrange transport to Yorba Linda and the shop will receive it, photograph its arrival condition and start the assessment.

Common Questions

Where is the shop, and how far is it from Lake Forest?
The facility is at 23281 La Palma Ave, Yorba Linda, CA 92887. That is roughly 19 miles from Lake Forest, commonly 25 to 35 minutes depending on traffic. Most Lake Forest customers run the 241 north to the 91, or the 5 to the 55 and across. All work is performed at that facility, so the vehicle does need to come to us.
Do you work directly with insurance companies?
Yes. A large share of the work here is insurance billed, and the shop writes supplements, documents teardown in stages and communicates with adjusters as part of the normal process. OCRV Center is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any carrier. In California the vehicle owner chooses the repair facility, not the insurer.
What does an estimate cost?
Collision estimates are written at the shop, and insurance walk-ins are welcome during business hours. An RV systems evaluation covering slides, awnings, water, electrical or generator work is $150, credited back against an authorized repair. In-depth diagnostic time runs one hour minimum at $285 per hour, credited the same way.
How long will my RV be in the shop?
Light panel and refinish work commonly runs one to three weeks. Cap replacement, sidewall sectioning or structural work typically runs four to ten weeks. The two things that move a schedule most are parts availability on discontinued models and insurance approval on a supplement written after teardown. Both get built into the estimate rather than discovered later.
Do you offer mobile or roadside repair?
No. Every repair is completed at the Yorba Linda facility. Collision work on a forty foot coach needs a bay tall enough to open the roof, a frame rack rated for the weight and a booth long enough to shoot the body in one pass. Those are facility capabilities that cannot travel.
