Seven Functions Under One Roof

OCRV Center runs seven in-house departments: body and structural, paint and refinish, fiberglass and composite, mechanical and electrical, interior and finish, estimating and claims, and quality control and delivery. Each owns a defined part of the repair and hands over a documented condition rather than a verbal update.

We publish roles rather than people. No individual is named anywhere on this site and there are no staff photographs to show, which is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight: the thing you are choosing between shops is capability and process, and a headshot tells you nothing about either. What follows is who owns which decision while your vehicle is here.

Department by department

01

Body and Structural

Panel repair, sectioning, framing and chassis correction

The department that decides what gets pulled and what gets cut out. They run the measuring system against factory datum points, operate the frame rack, section and replace aluminum tube framing, and rebuild openings that have gone out of square. Most of their work happens with the skin off and nobody looking, which is exactly why the photographic record they produce during teardown carries the whole claim afterward. They also own the tap testing and crack mapping that determine whether a laminate is repairable or finished.

02

Paint and Refinish

Color matching, surface prep, spray and finish quality

Color on a coach that has spent fifteen years in Southern California sun is no longer the color the factory code describes, so this department works from a spectrophotometer reading off the existing panel and sprays out cards before touching the vehicle. They set film build, control flash times between coats, and decide where a transition can legitimately land on a body with no character lines. They also handle decal and graphics reproduction, including printing new film from artwork reconstructed off the undamaged side when the original kit is long discontinued.

03

Fiberglass and Composite

Molded caps, gelcoat, laminate repair and delamination

Fiberglass is its own craft and it lives in its own space here. This department grinds back damage, lays up the correct glass schedule, fairs the surface, and repairs gelcoat on parts that are frequently no longer manufactured. They also handle delamination, which means injecting structural adhesive through ports and clamping under vacuum where the separation is small enough to arrest, and telling the estimator plainly when it is not. Keeping this work on site removes transport time from the part that is usually the longest item in a repair.

04

Mechanical and Electrical

12V and 120V systems, generators, LP and appliances

Every collision that reaches a wall opens a question about what was running through that wall. This department traces and repairs twelve volt and one hundred twenty volt circuits disturbed by the repair, tests inverters, converters, transfer switches and shore power connections, services generators, and checks LP lines and detectors before anything gets closed up. They run diagnostics at $285 per hour with a one hour minimum credited against an authorized repair, and they perform the pre repair and post repair scans on any chassis carrying driver assistance systems.

05

Interior and Finish

Cabinetry, flooring, upholstery, panels and reassembly

Interior components in a coach are frequently structural, and this department documents how each one attaches before removing it: screwed to framing, bonded to the wall or freestanding. They store and tag every removed item, replace subfloor where moisture has taken it, rebuild cabinetry that carried load into a wall, and put the finish back so the repair does not announce itself from inside. They are also the last people to touch a slide room before it gets cycled, because interior trim is where a misaligned room shows first.

06

Estimating and Claims

Scope writing, supplements and carrier correspondence

This is the department that turns what the technicians found into a document a carrier can act on. They write scope in construction terms rather than substituting the closest available automotive operation, attach numbered photographs to every supplement line, assemble moisture grids and structural measurements, schedule reinspections at the point in teardown where the condition is visible, and confirm every phone conversation in writing the same day. OCRV Center is an independent facility with no affiliation with or endorsement from any carrier, and this department corresponds with your adjuster rather than around them.

07

Quality Control and Delivery

Final verification, water testing and handover

Independent of the people who performed the repair, this function signs off on the vehicle as a system before anyone calls the owner. Every door, compartment and slide gets cycled repeatedly and measured against the undamaged side. Every repaired seam, window frame and roof penetration gets water tested. Finish is inspected under corrected lighting for texture match, coverage and edge quality. Then the owner walks the vehicle with the complete file in hand, including scan reports, before the balance is settled and it leaves the property.

Why the handoffs matter more than the hours

A coach repair crosses department lines more often than a car repair does. Structure opens a wall, electrical traces what ran through it, interior documents how the cabinetry attached, refinish decides where a transition can land, and estimating turns all of that into a document a carrier can act on. Each of those transitions is a place where information gets lost when the crews sit in different buildings.

Keeping them on one site is not about convenience. It is about the photograph taken at the moment a panel came off being available to the person writing the supplement three days later, and about the slide room being squared by the same file that tells the seal crew what changed.

Working here

The shop hires body, paint, composite, systems and estimating people who want to work on vehicles most facilities cannot take in. Openings and how to apply are listed on the careers page.
