Commercial Trucks Repair Serving Lake Forest
A commercial truck is an assembly of decisions made by different companies. A chassis manufacturer built the frame, the cab and the running gear. A body company built the box, the deck, the dump body or the reefer unit. An upfitter added a lift gate, a toolbox, a headache rack or a crane. When a truck is damaged, the repair almost always crosses at least two of those boundaries, and the shop has to be equally comfortable with a stamped steel cab, a riveted aluminum body and a welded steel subframe.
The thing that distinguishes commercial repair from automotive repair is that the vehicle is a revenue instrument. Every day it sits is a day of lost capacity, and for a small operator with three trucks that is a real problem rather than an inconvenience. We handle commercial work with that in mind. Estimates get written quickly, parts get sourced in parallel with disassembly, and where a truck can be returned to service in a safe interim condition while a long lead part arrives, we say so rather than holding the vehicle.
OCRV Center serves commercial operators throughout Lake Forest and south Orange County from the Yorba Linda facility, roughly 19 miles away by the 241 and the 91 or the 5 and the 55. The shop has the bay height, the door width and the yard space for medium and heavy duty vehicles, which is a real constraint that eliminates a lot of otherwise capable body shops from consideration on this vehicle class.
The scope boundary matters on commercial work and we state it plainly. This facility performs collision, structural, body, paint, fabrication and body electrical work. It does not perform engine or transmission internal work, and it does not perform federal safety inspections. When a truck needs those, the operator needs a different provider for that portion, and we will say so up front rather than discovering it after the vehicle is on the property.

Curtain Side Trucks
Curtain side bodies replace rigid side walls with a tensioned fabric curtain on a roller track, which gives forklift access along the whole length of the body. The repair profile is unlike any other truck body. Curtains tear at the buckle straps and at the corner where they wrap the rear post, the top rail and roller track distort after a forklift strike, and the vertical tensioning hardware wears until the curtain no longer seals against the rail. We repair and replace curtain panels, straighten and section top rails and track, rebuild tensioner hardware, and repair the rigid front bulkhead and rear frame that the whole system depends on for square.
Beverage Delivery Trucks
Beverage bodies use a series of bay doors along both sides, each with its own roll up or lift-up assembly, so a route driver can pull product from any position without entering the body. Every one of those doors is a wear item cycled many times a day, and every door opening is a place the body can rack. We repair and rebuild bay door assemblies, straighten and replace door frame extrusions, repair bay floor and shelf structure that carries the load of stacked product, and address the deck and step damage that comes from operators working from the street. Fleet graphics on these bodies are extensive and we reproduce them as part of the repair.
Service, Utility and Crane Body Trucks
Service bodies replace an open bed with a set of lockable compartments, often with a crane, a compressor or a welder mounted on the deck. The recurring structural problems are compartment door hinge and latch failure, body to chassis mounting fatigue, and crane or compressor mounting that concentrates load into a body that was not reinforced for it. We repair and rebuild compartment structures, replace door hardware, reinforce crane and equipment mounting into the chassis rather than into the body, and repair corrosion in the compartment floors where tools and water collect together.
Car Carriers and Rollback Tow Bodies
Car carriers and rollback bodies combine a sliding or tilting deck, a winch, a wheel lift and a great deal of hydraulic hardware on a chassis that gets loaded from the rear. Deck rails wear at the roller and slide surfaces, deck cross members bend from concentrated wheel loads, and the pivot and slide structure develops play that makes loading unpredictable. We repair and reinforce deck structure, rebuild slide and pivot geometry, repair or replace rails and approach ramps, and address the underlift and wheel lift structures that get contacted every time a vehicle is retrieved from a tight spot.
Tank and Vacuum Body Trucks
Tank bodies used for water, waste, fuel transfer and vacuum service put a large concentrated mass on a subframe with very specific mounting requirements. What we repair on these is the mounting and the structure around it: cradle and saddle mounting that has worked loose, subframe cracking where a full tank has cycled the connection, ladder and walkway structures that have been damaged, and the cabinets and equipment housings on the body. Tank internals and pressure vessel work sit outside our scope, and we say so plainly rather than taking on a portion of a job we are not the right provider for.
Landscape and Chipper Body Trucks
Landscape bodies combine a dump function with high side walls, mesh or slat panels, tool boxes and often a chipper or debris arrangement at the rear. The failure pattern combines dump truck issues with abrasion from wet green waste, which is far more corrosive than most operators expect. We repair and replace body panels and side structures, address corrosion at the floor to wall transition where debris and water sit together, rebuild tailgate and door hardware, and repair hoist and subframe structure. Coating the interior of a repaired landscape body properly is what determines whether the repair lasts two years or ten.
Fleet Graphics, Reflective Marking and Refinish Programs
Commercial vehicles carry company identity, contact information and required reflective marking, and all of it has to survive weather, pressure washing and years of service. We handle full fleet refinish programs including cab and body paint, vinyl wraps, cut graphics, reflective conspicuity tape and unit numbering. For fleets running multiple platforms in one livery, we keep records of paint formulas and vinyl specifications so a truck repaired next year matches the one repaired last year. Consistency across a fleet is worth more to most operators than a perfect match on any single vehicle.
