What Work Costs At This Shop

OCRV Center posts its rates rather than quoting them privately. Body and paint labor is $210 per hour, mechanical and electrical is $260, diagnostics is $285 and detail is $95. Materials, parts markup and deposit terms are published below, along with a ballpark range for every service the shop performs.

Labor rates

Materials

Paint supplies: $55 per paint hour
Calculated on every estimate.
Body supplies: $5 per body hour
Calculated on every estimate.
Hazmat and disposal: $45 flat

Sales tax: 7.75 percent

Parts

  • Parts priced at $100 or less carry 100 percent markup.
  • Parts priced above $100 carry 35 percent markup.
  • Special order parts require payment in full at the time the order is placed, and that deposit is non refundable.

Estimates

  • Collision estimates are written at the shop, and insurance walk-ins are welcome during business hours.
  • An RV systems evaluation covering slides, awnings, water, electrical or generator work is $150, credited against an authorized repair.
  • In-depth diagnostic time runs one hour minimum at $285 per hour, credited against an authorized repair.

Deposits and payment

  • Jobs over $2,000 take a 50 percent deposit at authorization.
  • Jobs over $10,000 take an additional 25 percent when parts arrive.
  • The final balance is due at pickup. No vehicle leaves the property until the invoice is paid in full.
  • Card payments above $1,000 carry a 3.5 percent surcharge, which passes through the merchant fee on high ticket work.

Bundled packages

Work that shares a setup costs less when it is booked together, because the vehicle only gets torn down once. Each package is priced below the sum of its parts.

Package

Pre-Season Roof and Seal Package

Water finds its way in through the seams first, and almost every soft floor we open started as a seal nobody renewed. Doing the roof, the vents and the slide seals in one visit means one setup, one teardown and one labor block instead of three.

  • Full roof inspection and moisture reading
  • Roof recoat and reseal
  • All roof vent and skylight seals renewed
  • Slide out seal inspection and lubrication
$1,495$1,850saves $355

Best for: Owners heading into a travel season who want the roof settled before it rains.

Package

Slide Out Service Package

A slide that is out of adjustment chews its own seals, and a seal that has failed lets water into the wall the room retracts into. Correcting the mechanism and renewing the seals together fixes the cause and the symptom in one pass.

  • Slide mechanism inspection and adjustment
  • Wiper, bulb and D seal replacement on one room
  • Motor and gear lubrication
  • Slide topper inspection
$1,150$1,400saves $250

Best for: A slide that binds, drags or leaves a wet line on the floor.

Package

Paint Correction and Protection Package

Correction without protection oxidizes again in a Southern California summer. Coating without correction seals the defects in. The two belong together, and running them back to back means the surface never has to be prepped twice.

  • Full exterior decontamination wash
  • Multi stage paint correction
  • Ceramic coating application
  • Headlight and lens restoration
$1,975$2,450saves $475

Best for: Oxidized gelcoat or chalky clear coat on a coach that is otherwise sound.

Package

Electrical and Power Audit Package

Chasing one electrical symptom usually means testing the whole path anyway. Auditing the bank, the inverter, the transfer switch and the shore connection as a set finds the fault faster than four separate visits and gives you a written baseline.

  • 12V and 120V system diagnostic
  • Battery bank load test
  • Inverter, converter and transfer switch check
  • Shore power and pedestal connection inspection
$895$1,120saves $225

Best for: Intermittent power faults, or a used coach you just bought.

Package

Storage In and Out Package

Booking the exit and the return together locks the appointment on both ends, which matters because spring de-winterization is the single busiest week of our year. It also means the same technician who closed the systems down opens them back up.

  • Winterization with full plumbing drain and antifreeze
  • Battery disconnect and maintenance charge setup
  • Spring de-winterization and system sanitation
  • Pre-trip systems check
$995$1,250saves $255

Best for: Anyone who parks the coach for a season and wants it ready when they come back.

Package

Pre-Purchase and Punch List Package

An inspection that only tells you the coach has problems is half a service. The punch list prices what we found and sorts it into what has to be fixed now, what can wait a season and what is cosmetic, which is the document you actually negotiate with.

  • Full systems pre-purchase inspection with written report
  • Moisture survey of roof, walls and floor
  • Chassis and running gear visual
  • Prioritized repair punch list with price bands
$1,095$1,400saves $305

Best for: A private party purchase, before the money changes hands.

Common questions about pricing

Why publish ranges instead of a single price?
Because a single price would be wrong. Damage on a coach varies more than it does on a car: two units with identical looking cap damage can differ by twenty thousand dollars once the panel is off and the framing behind it is visible. A range tells you the shape of the number so you can plan, and the written figure comes after inspection.
What does an estimate cost?
Collision estimates are written at the shop and insurance walk-ins are welcome during business hours. An RV systems evaluation covering slides, awnings, water, electrical or generator work is $150, and that amount is credited against an authorized repair. In-depth diagnostic time runs one hour minimum at $285 per hour, credited the same way.
Do insurance jobs use these same rates?
Not always. Insurance billed work may be invoiced at carrier negotiated labor rates that differ from the posted retail rates. That is normal and it is disclosed here rather than discovered on the invoice. The scope of work does not change based on who is paying for it.
Why is there a deposit?
Parts for these vehicles are frequently special order and often non returnable, particularly molded caps, moldings and trim for a discontinued model. Jobs over $2,000 take a 50 percent deposit at authorization, and jobs over $10,000 take a further 25 percent when parts arrive. The balance is due at pickup.
Is the card surcharge avoidable?
Yes. The 3.5 percent surcharge applies only to card payments above $1,000 and it passes through the merchant fee on high ticket work rather than adding margin. Paying the balance by check or transfer avoids it entirely.
