Triple E Repair For Lake Forest Owners

Triple E Recreational Vehicles is a Canadian manufacturer from Winkler, Manitoba producing Class A, Class B and Class C coaches including the Unity and Wonder built on Sprinter platforms. Being built outside the United States affects parts lead times and hardware standards in ways that shape the schedule on every Triple E repair.

What we see on Triple E units

Patterns specific to how this manufacturer builds, rather than generic RV advice.

01

One piece molded shell repair on Unity and Wonder

These bodies are molded as a single shell rather than assembled from panels, which is excellent for water tightness and awkward for collision repair, because there is no panel edge to cut back to. A damaged area has to be sectioned out of continuous laminate and rebuilt with the contour taken from the mold geometry of the surviving shell. Getting the contour right matters more here than on a panel built coach, because the eye reads a continuous surface and any flat spot in a curve is obvious from across a parking lot.

02

Mixed metric and imperial fastener standards during reassembly

Because the chassis is German and the coach is Canadian, a single assembly can contain fasteners from two standards, and they are close enough in size to cross thread if somebody grabs the wrong one. The damage is done at reassembly rather than at repair, and it shows up as a fitting that will not hold torque or a bracket that works loose months later. We bag and label hardware by assembly on these coaches rather than pooling it, which sounds fussy and prevents a specific and annoying failure.

03

Cross border parts lead time on discontinued Class A models

Commander, Empress and the older Class A lines have not been produced for years and their components come from a Canadian supply chain rather than the Indiana one that serves most of this industry. Cross referencing to a domestic equivalent frequently does not work because the profile is different. On these coaches we assess early whether a part realistically exists, and where it does not we quote fabrication rather than putting an owner on an indefinite wait for something that is not coming.

04

Rear wall loading on Murphy bed and rear lounge layouts

Layouts with a Murphy bed or a folding rear lounge attach a mechanism to the rear wall that applies a cyclic load every time the bed is raised or lowered. Over years that works the wall attachment, and after a rear impact the mechanism frequently binds even though the wall looks straight. Owners report a bed that has become hard to lift. The wall has moved a few millimetres out of plane, and the mechanism is unforgiving about it. We check mechanism operation as part of any rear wall repair rather than after the coach is closed up.
