There is a class of repair where the part is not the hard bit. Anyone can order an entry door. Making that door close with an even gap on all four sides, seal against a frame that has moved, latch without being pulled, and stay that way after a year of expansion and contraction in a coach that flexes over every driveway apron is a fitting problem, and fitting problems are solved with a tape, a level, a feeler gauge and a torque wrench.
This category collects the services where measurement is the work. A windshield that leaks was almost certainly set into an opening that was never checked for flatness. A coach that wanders on the 5 is frequently sitting at the wrong ride height rather than carrying a worn part. A ceramic coating that failed at four months went onto a surface whose contamination was never removed. A wall that was declared dry was declared dry by touch instead of by a meter.
OCRV Center performs all of this in the bays at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda, which sits about nineteen miles from Lake Forest by way of the 241 and the 91, or the 5 up to the 55. Fabrication needs a welding bay, a bender and a flat table. Glass needs a controlled cure environment and a second set of hands. Alignment and ride height need level concrete and a lift. None of that travels, which is why the work is in-shop only.
The inspection service in this category deserves its own note. It is a scheduled, in-shop evaluation on our floor with the coach on the level and the systems energized. That is deliberate. Moisture readings need a reference on known dry material from the same coach, roofs need to be walked with proper access, brake drums come off, and holding tanks get run. An evaluation performed anywhere else is a walkaround, and a walkaround is not what anyone should be buying a used coach on the strength of.
