A clinic build typically has shore power, a generator, an inverter, a battery bank and sometimes a solar array, with an automatic transfer arrangement between them and dedicated circuits for equipment that does not tolerate interruption. Body work near any of that requires isolating the system properly and verifying it is dead before a tool touches the area. We document the shutdown, work with the system isolated, and bring it back up in sequence with a functional check on each source before the vehicle leaves.

Lift and ramp structure loaded by equipment the platform never anticipated
A clinic vehicle with a wheelchair lift is rated for a patient and an attendant, and it is used to load a patient, an attendant, a wheeled cart of supplies and sometimes a portable imaging device. The lift itself is usually adequate. Its mounting into the body rarely is, because the upfitter tied the frame into a floor structure that was not analyzed for a repeated eccentric load hanging outside the body line. What appears over a few years is cracking at the mounting welds, elongation at the bolted connections and a lift platform that no longer sits level with the threshold. Repairing the crack is straightforward. Getting the load into the chassis rails rather than into the floor pan is the part that makes it stay repaired.
Exam room walls that must stay cleanable after a body repair
Clinical interiors are built with continuous non-porous surfaces because the space has to be wiped down between patients. A collision repair to the body side almost always requires removing that surface to reach the panel, and putting it back is where ordinary body shops create a problem. A seam, a fastener head or a filled screw hole in a wall panel is a place a cleaning protocol cannot reach. When we open a clinical wall we plan the reassembly to restore a continuous surface, using panel joints in the original locations with the original sealing method rather than improvising a patch. If a panel cannot be restored that way, we say so and quote replacing the full sheet.
Imaging and diagnostic equipment anchored to a floor that moves
Diagnostic equipment inside a clinic vehicle is heavy, sensitive to alignment and anchored to a floor that flexes over every driveway and expansion joint. Manufacturers specify anchoring to a rigid platform for exactly that reason. In practice the anchor often ends up in the subfloor, and the flex works the fasteners until the equipment sits slightly out of position and the anchor holes have opened up. From above nothing looks wrong. From below, the subfloor around each anchor is crushed and delaminating. When we repair a clinic floor we rebuild the anchoring as a reinforced platform tied to structure, then reinstall so the equipment sits on something that does not move independently of the body.
Shore power inlets and transfer gear mounted where road debris finds them
Clinic vehicles run on shore power at a hospital lot, a school or a community site, and the inlet, cord reel and transfer equipment are usually mounted low on a body side where the cord run is convenient. That is also where curb spray, gravel and the occasional parking contact live. What we find is a cracked inlet housing, a bent cord reel bracket, corroded terminals inside a housing whose seal failed, and in the worst cases moisture tracking along the feeder into the distribution panel. The electrical portion is a legitimate safety item on a vehicle full of clinical equipment. We repair the housing and the body around it, replace corroded terminations, and relocate or shield the assembly where the mounting position is the root cause.
