Ramp door systems deserve their own attention. Most modern toy haulers use a spring or cable assist so a single person can raise a door that weighs several hundred pounds, and many convert to a patio deck with railings and a separate screen wall. That is a lot of hardware on a door that is also a structural closure and a weather seal. When a ramp will not latch evenly, the cause is usually a rear frame that is no longer square rather than a latch that needs adjustment, and adjusting the latch to compensate locks the distortion in.

The rear wall of a toy hauler is a frame around a hole, and the ramp door hangs from the bottom of that frame on a hinge that carries the door plus whatever is being driven up it. The hinge fasteners see a peeling load every time the ramp takes weight. Over time the fasteners work in their holes and the hinge starts to tear the lower rear wall structure. The correct repair rebuilds the lower rear frame with a proper structural member behind the hinge line, rather than adding longer screws into material that has already failed once.
Garage floor delamination under tie-down rings that owners never see
Tie-down rings in a toy hauler garage are bolted or riveted through the floor into structure below. Ratcheting a heavy machine down puts a sustained tension load on the floor around each ring, and repeated cycles compress the core of a laminated floor at those points. The floor then delaminates locally, the ring sits slightly proud, and water from a wet machine finds the opened fastener holes. Owners discover it when a ring pulls loose. Repairing it means opening the floor at the rings, replacing the crushed core and installing larger backing plates that spread the load.
Rear overhang sag from loading cargo behind the axles
Toy haulers are designed to carry their cargo weight forward of or over the axles, and the garage extends behind them. Owners routinely load the heaviest machine at the very back because it is the easiest place to put it. The rear frame extension then carries a bending load it was not sized for, and over a few seasons the rear of the unit visibly droops. That sag opens the seam between the rear wall and the roof and puts the ramp door out of square. Correcting it requires frame reinforcement, and the loading conversation has to happen or the repair will repeat.
Garage interiors finished in materials that do not survive their actual use
Manufacturers finish toy hauler garages with the same wall board, trim and cabinetry used in the living area, and it does not survive machines, fuel, gear and boots. What we see is punctured wall panels, torn vinyl on the fold-down bunks, and cabinet doors that have been struck by handlebars. Rebuilding in the same materials produces the same result.
