Commercial Truck Body And Paint Repair

Commercial truck work at OCRV Center is body, paint, structural and equipment installation. That covers collision repair and refinish, cab body panels, box and cargo body repair, reefer skin and liner work, roll up and swing doors, lift gates, service bodies and fleet graphics. Engine, drivetrain and DOT inspection work is not performed here.

Commercial work is measured in downtime rather than in dollars, and that changes how a job is planned. A box truck out of service is not an inconvenience, it is a route that somebody else has to cover. So the sequence gets built around parts availability from the start, and the schedule is quoted against when the parts land rather than when the vehicle arrives.

The body work itself is more varied than on a passenger vehicle. A cab panel is conventional collision repair. A cargo box is a bonded aluminum or composite panel system that behaves much more like an RV sidewall than like a truck cab, which is precisely why this shop takes them. Reefer boxes add an insulated core and a liner, and a repair that ignores the insulation produces a box that sweats and fails again.

Equipment installation is the third category and it is frequently what a fleet actually needs. Lift gates, service and utility bodies, toolboxes, headache racks, hitches and fifth wheel plates all involve mounting substantial loads to a frame, and doing that without compromising the frame is engineering rather than bolting.

Types we take in

The work involved

01
RV Collision Repair

Impact damage repair on motorhomes, trailers and vans, from documented teardown through structural rebuild, panel replacement and refinish.

02
RV Body Panel Repair

Repair and replacement of exterior panels, compartment doors, skirts, moldings and trim on RVs, trailers and commercial bodies.

03
Full RV Paint and Refinish

Complete exterior refinish of a coach or commercial body, from substrate preparation through primer, color and clear in a single continuous pass.

04
Vinyl Wraps and Decals

Full and partial vinyl wraps, fleet graphics, redrawn replacement decals, and removal of sun baked film over a verified sound surface.

05
Frame and Chassis Straightening

Measured correction of bent or twisted chassis rails, crossmembers, A-frames and pin boxes using anchored pulls against factory datum.

06
Custom Fabrication and Welding

One-off brackets, mounts, racks, reinforcements and replacements for discontinued parts, fabricated to measured dimensions in steel or aluminum.

07
Doors, Steps and Hardware

Entry, screen and compartment door alignment and repair, electric step service, latch, hinge, lock and keyless entry work.

08
Glass and Windshield Replacement

Windshield and window replacement, reseal and hardware repair, with opening preparation, correct setting method and controlled cure.

Questions owners ask

Do you do engine or transmission work on trucks?
No. This facility performs body, paint, structural and equipment installation work only. Engine, transmission and drivetrain repair is a different trade with different equipment, and DOT inspections are not performed here either. For those, a commercial mechanical shop is the correct call.
Can you repair a damaged cargo box?
Yes, in aluminum and composite, including reefer boxes with insulated cores and liners. Box repair is closer to RV sidewall work than to truck cab work, because it is a bonded panel system rather than formed steel. That overlap is the reason a shop built around coaches handles cargo bodies well.
How fast can you turn a fleet vehicle?
It depends almost entirely on parts. Cosmetic and panel work on a common chassis can move quickly. A cargo body panel or a specific lift gate assembly can take weeks to source. The estimate states which category the job falls into up front, because a schedule built on optimism is worse than a longer schedule built on the actual lead time.
Do you handle fleet graphics and rebranding?
Yes. Full and partial wraps, decal removal and reapplication, vehicle numbering, reflective compliance marking and repaints in fleet colors. Rebranding a fleet is mostly a sequencing problem, so it gets scheduled in batches that keep the required number of vehicles on the road.
